1867. Captain Edward Crow had no idea what awaited him and Her Majesties ship the HMS Goliath when he sailed into Greenwald Harbor at Prince Patrick Island on the top of the world.
The American Civil War had just ended and the British Crown had lost contact with their most northern possession, Prince Patrick Island, for several months. The British warship Goliath along with her crew and a detachment of young Royal Marines was dispatched from London to investigate.
On arrival, Captain Crow finds the island of a few hundred trappers, fishermen and native indians - deserted. Huts, stores and fishing boats hastily abandoned. Under the command of Captain Jacob Baldwin, the Royal Marines were landed and began their long frightening search mission of the ice covered ghost island.
Their path led them to a gruesome discovery. They came upon an isolated Indian encampment and an aged indian shaman by the name of Shanonkin. He cautions them about going on any farther and shares a horrifying prediction - warns them to turn back while they still can.
The dangerous trek across a frozen plateau to search the island leads them to the northern coast and an incredible finding. Now begins the start of an international incident that would follow them into World War 1.
